Ted Miller got into this business the way most good tradesmen do: as the youngest guy on the crew.
He was 18, working as a laborer for several local tennis court contractors around Southern California, learning the trade from men who’d been doing it since before he was born. He learned what a base looks like when it’s built right, and what happens a few years later when it isn’t. He learned to read a crack. He learned that the difference between a court that lasts and a court that fails usually got decided before anyone opened a pail of coating.
He’s been doing it ever since. Thirty-five years in the trade, and he founded Baseline Tennis Courts in 2003.
Since then we’ve built, repaired, and resurfaced every kind of sport court across California: private residential courts, school gymnasiums, HOA complexes, park facilities, indoor pickleball clubs, and commercial properties.

We’ll tell you when your court needs less than you thought. If a targeted repair gets you more seasons before a full resurface, we say so, even though the resurface is the bigger invoice. If the cheap fix won’t hold, we say that too, and explain why.
